General Questions

What is the surface treatment of Dérig implants?

Double acid attack.

What is the osseointegration time for Dérig implants?

On average, 3-4 months in the lower jaw and 6 months in the upper jaw.

Kits

Do I place all Dérig implants with the Parallel and Tapered Kits?

Yes

I have the Derig Parallel Surgical Kit and I am interested in Morse Taper implants. What do I need to purchase to use them in my clinic?

If you choose the Dynamic implant, the parallel drilling protocol, you will need the implant driver only. Otherwise, if you choose the tapered drilling protocol, the surgical kit with tapered drills will be required, which is suitable for setting Bioneck implants, (tapered body implant with Triple Internal Channel connection) and Singular implants, (tapered body implants with Morse Taper Indexed connection). In this case, the CMI implant driver is included in the Kit.

I would like to use Dérig’s Morse Taper. What do I need to have?

It will depend on the surgical kit that you already have.

We have two drilling protocols for Morse Taper implants, a parallel one and a tapered one.

For the Singular implant, you will need the surgical kit with tapered drills and the CMI implant driver.

For the Dynamic implant, you will need the surgical kit with Parallel drills and the CMI implant driver. If you already have one of them, or both, you will need the CMI implant driver only.

Can I place Biodent and Singular implants, respectively, with the Parallel Surgical Kit?

You can place Biodent implant, but not the Singular one, since the drilling protocol for Singular is tapered while Biodent’s drilling protocol is parallel.

Prosthetic platforms

What are the prosthetic platforms for Biodent implants?

NP 3.5; RP 4.1; UP 4.1.

What are the prosthetic platforms for Bioneck implants?

NP 3.5 and RP-UP 4.3.

What are the prosthetic platforms for Dynamic and Singular implants?

NP 2.75 for all diameters of both implants.

What are the prosthetic options that I have with Dérig?

Screw-retained multiple prosthesis, (Mini Abutment, UCLA CoCr, plastic UCLA); screw-retained one-piece prosthesis, (UCLAs); cemented-retained multiple prosthesis, (UCLAs); cemented-retained one-piece prosthesis, (UCLA, Custom Abutment and Simple Abutment - for CMI system only).

Are Dérig’s prosthetic components compatible with each other?

Each connection type has its corresponding component and different prosthetic platforms, although for Morse Taper system the prosthetic system is unified.

Torques

Which torque is indicated for the mini-abutment Coping?

15Ncm

Which torque is indicated for the mini-abutment?

35Ncm

Which torque is indicated for the preparation abutment?

35Ncm

Acronyms

What does CMI mean?

Indexed Morse Taper.

What does TRI mean?

Internal Triple Channel.

What does HEX mean?

External Hexagon.

What does DLC mean and what are the advantages it brings?

Diamond Like Carbon – Reduction of cutting temperature, high durability, parallel drills with high visual contrast markings, high oxidation resistance.

Abutments

Which is the indicated abutment for the screw-retained multiple prosthesis?

Mini abutment (intermediate abutment) or UCLA CoCr (directly in the implant platform).

Which is the indicated abutment for the cemented -retained multiple prosthesis?

UCLA CoCr (directly in the implant platform).

What is the name of the intermediate abutment for screw-retained prosthesis?

Mini Abutment.

Is there any abutment that may be used for both the cemented-retained and the screw-retained, single-piece or multiple prostheses?

UCLA CoCr.

Can I use Morse Taper system abutments in the Singular implant?

Yes, the Singular implant is an implant with tapered body and Morse Taper connection.

What material are Dérig abutments made of?

Titanium or casting plastic UCLAs with CoCr base.

Are there casting abutments for protocol?

Yes, CoCr based casting plastic UCLAs.
